Our Story
A café where coeliacs never have to ask
The café was founded in 2014 at York Town Square by Daniel & Nicole, and has been part of Launceston life ever since — today you'll find us in a two-storey vintage building at the Paris end of George Street, with upstairs seating, a pergola room and tables under the trees. Discover Tasmania calls us a Launceston institution.
This is a dedicated gluten-free premises — in the owners' own words:
"No gluten on-site. No cross-contamination. No need to explain yourself — we get it."
The café is coeliac-owned, and chef & co-owner Kylie leads a kitchen that follows strict allergen protocols — dairy-free, vegan, keto and low-FODMAP needs are all catered for. Inside: mismatched crockery, vintage furniture, our famous spoon wall, coffee by local roasters Oomph Coffee — and a small bar, because we're fully licensed too.
